Terms
Last updated 2 September 2026The rules for using Bonbon. Using the app means you accept them.
Bonbon is not medical advice. Calorie targets are estimates from a formula, and photo estimates are a machine's best guess — often close, sometimes wrong. Bonbon is not a doctor, a dietitian or a treatment. Talk to a health professional before changing how you eat, and especially if you are pregnant, managing a medical condition, or have struggled with an eating disorder.
Your account
- You must be 13 or older to use Bonbon.
- One account per person. Keep your sign-in to yourself.
- Your username is yours while you hold it. Names that impersonate someone else may be reclaimed.
- You can close your account at any time — email [email protected] and it will be done.
Subscriptions
- Bonbon is free to use. A subscription unlocks the paid features and is billed through your Apple ID.
- If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel first.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, in your Apple ID settings — Bonbon cannot cancel it for you.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under their policy, not by Bonbon.
- Prices can change. You will be told before a change affects you, and Apple will ask you to agree.
What you post
What you write and photograph stays yours. Posting it gives Bonbon only the permission needed to store it and show it to the people you shared it with.
Do not use Bonbon to:
- Harass, bully or threaten anyone.
- Post anything that promotes disordered eating, self-harm, or extreme restriction — including to yourself.
- Post someone else's photo or private information without their say-so.
- Post sexual content, or anything illegal.
- Break the app on purpose, scrape it, or try to reach other people's data.
You can block anyone, and report a post or a person from inside the app. Accounts that break these rules can be limited or closed.
What Bonbon does not promise
- That estimates are accurate. They are estimates, and you can correct every one of them.
- That you will lose weight, or any particular result. That is not something an app can promise.
- That the service is never down. Bonbon aims to keep running and will not always manage it.
As far as the law allows, Bonbon is provided as it is, and is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights stand whatever this page says.
Ending it
You can stop using Bonbon whenever you like, and ask for your account to be closed at the address below. Bonbon may close an account that breaks these terms, or that is being used to harm someone.
Changes
These terms can change. The date at the top changes with them, and you will be told in the app before a material change takes effect. Carrying on using Bonbon after that means you accept the new version.
